INTERVIEW WITH SERGGG

We welcome a new face to the label; serggg. He has delivered a catchy vocal record with an Afro House groove, piano melodies and incredible vocal hooks. We got to know him a little before the release. 

1. As a quick introduction for the readers, tell us a little bit about yourself:
My name is Ardelean Serghey, and I go by the artist name serggg. I’m a music producer originally from the Republic of Moldova, currently based in Spain. I specialize in creating groovy tech house tracks, but I enjoy exploring other subgenres like deep house and techno. Music has always been a part of my life—I started playing the piano as a child and later transitioned into music production, combining my classical background with electronic sounds.


2. Tell us how you got involved with the music scene? How did you eventually find your way into music production and DJing?
I’ve been drawn to music since I was young, starting with the piano and later exploring other instruments. My passion for electronic music grew when I discovered how technology could take music to a whole new level. I studied music production at a school in Moscow specializing in Ableton Live, which helped me refine my skills and shape my sound. DJing came naturally as a way to share my music and connect with people on the dance floor


3. Who are your main influences, who or what inspires you when creating music?
I draw inspiration from everyday life—whether it’s the energy of a bustling city, the calm of nature, or even conversations with people. My influences range from pioneers in house and techno to modern artists who push boundaries. Artists like Chris Lake, Martin Ikin have definitely impacted my sound.


4. As a follow-on from that, which newer and upcoming artists are you really feeling right now? Let the readers know about some underappreciated producers:
I’ve been following some amazing emerging artists like DONT BLINK, Dom Dolla, and Mau P, who bring fresh energy to the tech house scene. They’re incredibly talented and deserve more recognition for their innovative sounds.


5. What have you got in store musically for the rest of the year?
2025 is shaping up to be an exciting year for me. I’ve signed four tracks, which are set to be released soon, and I’m working on new projects to expand my sound further. Collaborations are also on the horizon as I aim to connect with other like-minded artists


6. What aspirations do you have? You got any goals you want to try and reach? These can be music goals or life goals in general:
My ultimate goal is to establish myself as a leading figure in the music industry. I want my tracks to resonate with people globally and to perform at major festivals and iconic venues. Outside of music, I’m focused on personal growth, like staying healthy, hitting the gym, and living a balanced life.


7. You are a newcomer to the label, but we love what you sent in! Tell us a little bit about your production process. Favorite synths, plugins, techniques, etc.:
Thank you for the support! My production process always starts with a groove—I build a solid drum pattern and let it guide the track’s vibe. I use Ableton Live, and my favorite synths include Serum and Diva for their versatility. For processing, I rely on plugins like FabFilter and Soundtoys to add texture and depth. I also love sampling—whether it’s obscure records or field recordings, they add a unique character to my tracks.


8. Apart from music, what else makes you happy?
Spending time with family and friends, exploring new places, and staying active all bring me joy. I’ve also started focusing on fitness and healthy living, which keeps me energized and motivated.
