We welcome a new face to the label and Herr Bänz delivers a beautiful melodic house record. Amazing melodies and soundscapes on this one. We got to know him after his release.
1.As a quick introduction for the readers, tell us a little bit about yourself:
Hi,
I'm thrilled to present my first release with North Origin "Mountain Spring".
I am a Swiss musician, passionate about creating music that blends the atmospheric depth of progressive house with the organic richness of natural sounds.

2. Tell us how you got involved with the music scene? How did you eventually find your way into Music production and Djing?
My first instrument was a trumpet. I played in a wind orchestra on trumpet and later also on drums and percussion. l learned there, how much music can touch and enchant people.
I've realized that music can describe a story or a feeling very intensely. i'm thinking of film music, for example, where the music can describe ways better the mood, the environment, the feeling, than just an image, a shot or scene can do by itself.
That's what motivated me to write my own music, to tell my own stories.
And electronic music, combined with organic instruments and sounds, offers an almost inexhaustible variety and possibilities to create new sound designs and  sonic environments.

3. Who are your main influences, who or what inspires you when creating music?
Inspiration can come from anywhere, often unexpectedly. It can arise from memories of past experiences or impressions I get out in the nature, that leave a lasting mark.
The way emotions and visuals are brought to life from composers like Morricone or Zimmer in  big movie scores has certainly influenced my approach.
Also the freshness and coolness, the positive energy of the newly emerging music back in the early 2000s from artists like Avicii, Guetta, Schulz or Kygo fascinated me.

But actually I think, what inspires me for my music is less significant than how listeners get inspired  and what stories they create from it.

4. As a follow on from that, which newer and upcoming artists are you really feeling right now? Let the readers know about some under appreciated producers:
There are so many talented producers out there.
I greatly appreciate that independent labels like North Origin give artists the opportunity to present their work to a larger audience.
I also enjoy listening to radio shows by more prominent artists, where they regularly introduce new discoveries, thereby enriching the diversity in the music industry.
I would recommend Purified Radio as an example. It’s an excellent choice for discovering fresh and inspiring new music and artists.

5. What have you got in store musically for the rest of the year?
There are some tunes in release schedule, some are in pitching process and many
are still in my head, waiting to get written and produced and... hopefully heard.

6. What aspirations do you have? You got any goals you want to try and reach? These can be music goals or life goals in general.
Musically, staying in sync with rapidly advancing technology is a challenge. It's fascinating to observe and experience how music has evolved over time and how new technical innovations have transformed its presentation. I find it truly engaging to explore these changes, continually learning and experimenting with fresh techniques.
To nurture that special something, the essence needed to truly resonate with listeners and evoke deep emotions, that is what I will continue to work on. Music isn’t just about rhythm, music theory, chords, and melodies; it requires that intangible spark to truly resonate and come to life.

7. You are a new comer to the label but we love what you sent in! Tell us a little bit about your production process? Favourite synths, plugins, techniques etc.
For basic soundpattern I mostly use Diva and Serum (Big shout to Steve Duda for the fantastic update Serum2 last week!)
But I also use a lot of organic instrument vst, from EastWest Sound such as their strings library or the Bansuri flute I used in "Mountain Spring".
I also enjoy experimenting with effects and pushing boundaries by trying things in unconventional ways, embracing the idea of breaking the rules. Sometimes, it simply results in a complete disaster... but sometimes in something valuable, something unique.

8. Apart from music, what else makes you happy?
My family at first place, forshure!
I also enjoy heading to the mountains to ski or hike, taking a moment to breathe deeply and soak in the stunning views.

9.  Tell People where they can find you online...
People can find me on all streaming platforms, soundcloud, facebook or instagram
